Wondering if should have made this wider, like 20 sts.. really don’t want to pull out the yarn and start over tho…

Tore it out (3 hours wasted from last night) and finished it in 4 hours tonight. Cast on 16 STS instead. Due to the tape yarn I used the gauge came out a little different at 12 st=7”, so by widening it by 4 STS and intentionally knitting a bit looser, it worked out to slightly better dimensions for my figure. Just need to redo the castoff so it’s not so loose, weave in ends, open up the “jewels” of colour from the folds of grey, add a shawl pin and take a nice photo.

Pattern modifications: to achieve gauge with this tape yarn, I had to cast on 16sts and knit slightly looser than I first did, which meant taking a bit more time with the yarn and not speeding through the project. This made it about 11” wide and only 29” long or so, but this worked out for my figure.
