I had a skein of yarn left over from other projects and overdyed it to this lovely shade of pink (and made a scrap of it black so I could do accents with it). My original plan was to make a jack-o-lantern face on it but I think if I want to do that, I need to do the face part with less-bulky yarn - my efforts were a bit too thick with the super bulky scraps. But, I pivoted on my idea and made it into a perfect pumpkin stem, which I ran a bit of wire through for structural support.

This yarn normally calls for a US 15 / 10mm needle size. I knit the pumpkin with a 7mm needle for a very stiff fabric - perfect for this pumpkin.
