Notes

For this simple project to keep the cutest little legs around toasty warm this fall and winter, I cast onto my 12-peg flower loom using two strands of worsted weight yarn. I learned how to do all these stitches, bind off and cast on on YouTube.

I then purled a row, e-stitch knit a row and purled another row. For the main body of the legwarmers I continued knitting for 20 rows using the e-stitch. To finish off I repeated my purl one round, e-stitch knit one round and purl one round. Then I bound off my work and weaved in my ends.

Each leg warmer took me only a couple of hours to complete (with my “helpers” running around the house). I think if I were to get 2-3 hours of uninterrupted time I could complete 1-2 pairs.

With a larger loom this “pattern” (using the term loosely) could be adapted to almost any size leg. I didn’t have any bulky yarn, but it could be substituted easily for the two strands of worsted weight yarn I used. I can’t wait to try this project again and see how I can embellish it.
