12-09-2022 Knit up to Row 4 of third repeat of Colorwork Chart - Size 2 … anxious to finish the first sock so I can start and finish the second sock before Christmas Eve
12-07-2022 Knit up to Row 24 of Sole.
Thrilled that I reknit the heel to make the edge pattern consistent.
12-05-2022 Finished knitting Leg and Short Row Heel. Note: Do not cut CC.
Followed size 2 Short Row Heel instructions, but to prevent the pretty blue and white edge pattern from looking wonky, I slipped my CC(white) stitches isolating them with my leg stitches and focused on the remaining middle 33 stitches (instead of 36) to knit my heel. My Row 1 (RS) became S1, K14, K2Tog, K15 and leaving last stitch unworked, now 32 sts for the heel total. Followed instructions as written, except knit my Row 41 (RS) as knit 16, M1L, knit 16, now 33 sts. Row 42 (WS) Sl1, P32, so that when I slipped my 3 CC stitches held with leg back into position, I have 36 stitches to knit Colorwork Chart 2, Row 17 across the Heel. On the right side edging of Heel, I slipped a blue stitch on my left needle behind another blue stitch (like a K2Tog) on my right needle and then slipped a white stitch through them to close the gap and on my left side of Heel, I slipped another blue stitch below to close the gap … you’ll see it when you get there and just need to fiddle with it to make the edging pattern work consistently Again, Note: Do not cut CC as it is easily picked up to continue with Row 17 across Heel.
