07-01-2022 First sock
Knit Toe and completed Kitchener Stitch.
Finished 4th repeat ending on Rnd 11. I have little feet and usually knit 55 rounds from beginning of Gusset to beginning of Toe.
06-30-2022 Knit 3rd repeat …
06-29-2022 Completed 2 repeats of the 14 round Instep pattern. Finished Gusset decreases on Rnd 5 of second repeat of 14 round Instep pattern.
06-28-2022 Following Gusset decreases instructions, I completed Rnd 1 (decrease round knitting K2tog before K1 and SSK after K1) and then Rnd 2 (knit across Instep) before beginning Dandelion Pattern. Try to keep the tension of the Flower petals loose enough so that it is easy on the next round to knit a petal loop and 1 stitch together on the K2togs. Pulling too tight when making your Flower loops will make a bunched up hole Flower Petals should rest gently
06-27-2022 Knit Eye of the Partridge Heel, Heel Turn and successfully picked up all Gusset stitches.
06-26-2022 Colourwork of leg and set up are done to knit Eye of the Partridge Heel.
06-25-2022 Finished Butter yellow Colourwork and knitting with Frog Prince green for the last 14 rows of the Colourwork Chart. Anxious to knit the ‘dandelion’ flower stitch pattern.
06-22-2022 Knit up to row 16 of Colourwork Chart.
Cast on, finished Cuff and started Colourwork Chart with Butter yellow. I put stitch markers at the beginning of my round and after stitches 25 and 50 to easily keep track of my 3 growing dandelions
I have small feet and always cast on 64 stitches using my Zing US1 (2.25mm) 12” circular. When I discovered Charlotte Stone’s sock designs during COVID 2020 (the start of my Sock Addiction) her size Small was 64 stitches, so I know what works for me after now knitting a dozen of her designs. Absolutely her talent
I am going to knit one sock with Butter Yellow dandelions and the other sock with 1 strand White Mohair held with White fingering for puff ball dandelions
06-07-2022 I have had this pattern for awhile and finally decided what colors to use.
