PLEASE NOTE - PRINT the new pattern!!!! If you printed the pattern like I faved and saved to my Library on December 1, 2012, the new pattern available to purchase now on Ravelry is VERY different and also has written instructions for the charts. After comparing, charts and symbols/stitches have changed (for example the Bellflower Chart uses S2KP instead of SSSK. The Drooping Dayflowers Chart uses a SSSK since the symbol on Row 19, 24th stitch of my old printed pattern is not identified in the stitch legend, but in the new pattern it is clarified with a new symbol for the SSSK).
08-20-2021. Awweeee … Mrs. Bethany Ellen Round Pierce ![:heart: heart](https://style-cdn.ravelrycache.com/images/twemoji/2764.png)
What a lovely, elegant beautiful wedding at Curtis Arboretum in Wyncote, PA ![:heavy_heart_exclamation_mark_ornament: heavy_heart_exclamation_mark_ornament](https://style-cdn.ravelrycache.com/images/twemoji/2763-fe0f.png)
I print the following on Italian hand made paper and spray mount into the top of my wedding shawl gift box:
Hello Mrs. Bethany Ellen Round Pierce,
I am your Wedding Shawl to wear and take lots of pictures of. Please do not worry if I get soiled - it is proof you wear me.
Take me out of the box and wrap me around you to celebrate an anniversary, a birthday, or for any occasion;
Take me out of the box and wrap me around your child, especially when you bring your baby home for the first time, or when your baby is blessed, baptized, or christened;
Take me out of the box and wrap me around you whenever you just need to feel pretty;
And, most of all, take me out of the box and wrap me around you whenever you need a hug, especially to know that Auntie Cathy knit me just for you with lots of love, prayers and many blessings for a wonderful future ![:heart: heart](https://style-cdn.ravelrycache.com/images/twemoji/2764.png)
08-05-2021 Removed 72 T-pins and the circle looks gorgeous ![:heart: heart](https://style-cdn.ravelrycache.com/images/twemoji/2764.png)
08-04-2021 It is soaking (20 minutes in Lavender Eucalan Was) and blocking day
After reviewing other projects, only pulled 72 points (3 x 24) instead of 120 points shown in my directions (5 x 24) or 144 points shown in Renata Brennar’s posted project (6 x 24)]
After crawling around my bedroom floor for an hour to pin my 72 points, had to stand on my bed to get the aerial shot, which is why the shawl appears lopsided ![:zany_face: zany_face](https://style-cdn.ravelrycache.com/images/twemoji/1f92a.png)
07-29-2021 I DID IT ![:heavy_heart_exclamation_mark_ornament: heavy_heart_exclamation_mark_ornament](https://style-cdn.ravelrycache.com/images/twemoji/2763-fe0f.png)
![:heavy_heart_exclamation_mark_ornament: heavy_heart_exclamation_mark_ornament](https://style-cdn.ravelrycache.com/images/twemoji/2763-fe0f.png)
Will soak and block next week
Second picture from top is preblocked.
Of course I miscalculated the length of my double strand, but after binding off 2 of 12 sections with 76 stitches in each section using size US 7, I did not like the look at all
Too bulky for my taste, so I easily frogged
back putting 152 stitches (76 x 2) back on my size US 3 circular and test knit binding off holding 1 strand. Much better, but I will use a size US 5 to bind off while holding 1 strand.

06-14-2021 Knit up to row 7 of third Willow Leaves repeat.
Finished second Willow Leaves repeat of five. If I focus on knitting 4 rows a day, it will take me less than 2 more weeks to finish the Willow Leaves Section and the border will take me about 13 days. Gotta FOCUS to get this done in 2 months!!!
06-06-2021 Back at it again! Knit up to row 9 of second Willow Leaves repeat.
05-31-2021 Knit rows 9-12 … finished first repeat of five.

05-25-2021 Started round 103 … with 576 stitches a row … this is going to take awhile!! If it took me 5 days to knit the Drooping Dayflowers (46 rows x 288 stitches a row) it is going to take me more than 10 days to knit the Willow Leaves (60 rows x 576 stitches a row) ![:woozy_face: woozy_face](https://style-cdn.ravelrycache.com/images/twemoji/1f974.png)
Finished Drooping Dayflowers Chart and setup for Willow Leaves. Switched to my Zing US3 120cm (47”) circular.

Inserted stitch markers every 16 stitches on Row 1 of Drooping Dayflowers Chart. There are no shifting of stitches in this chart, but have to repeat chart twice and end after round 6 of third repeat.
Successfully finished Chevrons & Diamonds Chart and set up for Drooping Dayflowers (288 stitches). Now using my Zing size US3 80cm circular.
05-18-2021 Knitting Chevrons and Diamonds Chart, rounds 27-50. (Row 25 of Chart is Round 51, Eyelet Row (K, YO)). I remembered to shift my stitch markers on rows 5, 17 and 23.
05-17-2021 Successfully completed Bellflower Chart, rounds 15-23 and set up rounds 24-26, 144 stitches. (I remembered to shift my first stitch on row 7 after knitting my last stitch on Row 6. I am using only 3 stitch markers.) Switched to knitting with my Zing size US3 60 cm circular.
05-16-2021 Completed Emily Ocker’s Cast On using size US3 DPNS. Knit 7 round set up and rounds 8-13 Lace Chart. Switched to Zing size US3 circular (length 40cm) on round 14 with 72 stitches - YEAH !!!
Finally made the decision as I already have a leftover cone of yarn from knitting a wedding shawl in 2014 and I also have the necessary various Zing size US3 circular knitting needles.
Time to start another wedding shawl
Went diving into my knitting boxes under our bed to find lace shawl patterns I have collected since 2009.
