Soaked, blocked and drying using my size small Circle Mitten Blockers by Handsome Fibers that I purchased in 2020, when I knit 2 pairs of Beatles mittens, which I have lavender yarn to knit myself a pair … hmmmm … soon partying_face

Successfully knit colorwork, last 6 rounds and simple bind off this morning. Finished thumb this afternoon.

Using my Size US1 Additurbo flexible needles, I completed my left thumb by slipping the first 2 stitches of 18 on back needle. On back needle, I selectively picked up 4 stitches and then slipped 4 more stitches from front needle. Front needle has 12 stitches and back needle has 10 stitches. (This way the placement of the join is conveniently located on the inside of the thumb.) Beginning with front needle, I completed 5 rounds of (Ktbl, P1) ribbing (instead of 4) and finished with simple bind off.

Successfully frogged my stretchy bind off putting 64 stitches back on my 12” Zing US1 circular and completed a simple bind off. Really love the simple bind off heavy_heart_exclamation_mark_ornament

08-10-2022 Finished the colorwork and last 6 rounds to bind off. Did a simple stretchy bind off (knit 2, slip left needle in front of the 2 stitches on right needle and knit through the front, repeat) and DID NOT like it at all pensive Will frog and do a simple bind off tomorrow. Will also finish thumb.

Knit up to row 63 this morning. Successfully put 18 thumb stitches on stitch holder and continued knitting in the round with my Zing 12” US1 circular.

08-09-2022. Knit up to row 52 this morning.

08-08-2022 Knit up to row 42 this morning yarn

08-07-2022 No knitting for 2 days but knit to row 37 this morning … halfway done with my Left Mitt.

Since I am knitting the Left Mitt first, I M1L after the palm and M1R before the elephant elephant When picking up the stitch to M1L or M1R, I pull the same color that I knit the stitch.

08-04-2022 Knit up to round 23. I am consistently carrying my non working yarn on 4th stitch only if there are more than 4 stitches of the same color working yarn. Remember to keep tension somewhat loose nerd_face Enjoying the simple 2 strand color work blush

08-03-2022 Long Tail Cast for Left Mitt, knit ribbing and started colorwork.

07-30-2022 Ready to knit these fingerless mitts with yarn, printed pattern and my 12” size US1 circular needle that were assembled into a kit when I discovered John Arbon yarn in 2020 during my COVID sock addiction!!
