next in the series of knitted musical icons for my boyfriend is George Clinton, founder of Parliament and Funkadelic, and one of the greatest innovators in the field of funk.

Necessity became the mother of invention again, the only yarn I had which was the right colour for his head was a boucle yarn which I thought would turn out a bit muppety.

Well, George Clinton IS kind of muppety, and so he became a hand puppet rather than a simple stuffie.

His hair is super-chunky yarn with some strands of various colours, some multiple-stranded and braided. His beard is a fluffy alpaca yarn- both added strand by strand with a crochet hook.
