Pattern philosophy is fairly easy: Make a quite plain repetitive pattern you adore and add a panel worthy for a wedding gift.

Along comes this solution: The Kinsale pattern for the repetition bit, I love it! And the leaves in relief for the tree of life part, love it too. I would have preferred to use the roots from this chart, but I would have had to figure out the maths for roots of a double life tree and I simply didn’t have time nor head nor energy for that. So it’s a bit bumpy at the roots part, but fortunately it blocked out well.

The blanket measures 80’’x56’’ (2.00x1.40 metres), so it was very hard to take pictures.

I had to use two different dye lots, but I foresaw that and used one dye lot for the first bit, then there were about 18 skeins with the second dye lot and the last skein was the first dye lot again. So I think it looks well despite this stunt.
