Notes

This project transpired and transformed from a couple previous attempts to be something else…

Plan A: I totally forget; fail.
Plan B: one row scarf; fail.
Plan C: Gap-tastic

After I had seen the colors worked up in failed Plan B I knew I needed to cut the brightness of the colorway with a scoop of vanilla. What developed I’ve grown to love. It totally reminds me of a yummy parfait.

I did a cable cast on and held the Poems and Fishermen’s yarn together throughout. I worked till the end of the first skein of poems. I used a felted join to add in the next skein of Poems and continued until I came to the dark part of the second skein. I broke the yarn a bit before the dark variance started, unwound the skein until I had gone just past the dark part and again broke the yarn thereby omitting the dark portion. I only wanted one dark section in this cowl, not two. I did a felted join again to being the skein yarn back into play and continued knitting until the cowl was 6” wide. I ended with a regular bind off.
