Cache pots for gifts or to keep for yourself.

I bought a plant for a thank you gift, but it on its own it just did not look enough. I then made a cover for the pot and this made my gift special. l was hooked and looked round for more things to cover.

Things you can do with your pots.
Add a lid. This needs to be slightly larger than the finished edge of the pot, so work an extra row of increases and check the fir before fastening off.

Make a lid topper. Look at perfume bottles for inspiration.

Add your favourite crochet floral decoration to the pot or the lid.

Use a basket type stitch for the pot. Find a crochet pattern in your favourite stitch dictionary which matches the stitch count of your pot. The basket stitch was worked in the round and and all rows were worked on the right side. It is possible to turn at the end of the round to work the wrong side rows.

I bought my plastic pellets from Bear Basics. I used these to add a little weight to the base so the pots will stand up and not spill the contents all over the place. Yes I did have a few failures!
