12/06/2024 - My sister thrifted 2 skeins of the Manos del Uruguay yarn and asked me to make a hat for her. She really likes my Brioche Topper, so I thought I would try to modify the pattern for a DKish weight yarn and knit it using 2 strands of the fingering held together. I’ll use the terracotta color from a The Farmer’s Daughter Fibers mini set as the contrast.

1. I added 22 stitches to the largest size defined in the original pattern.
2. I knit 28 rows of the brioche band.
3. I knit 1/2” less than defined by the pattern after the brioche and before starting the crown decreases
