01/28/2024 - in December 2023 I got a bug in my bonnet that I wanted a bright orange hat. I scoured the internet for just the right color and landed on Knitting for Olive. I’m knitting a hat that is in the Knitting for Olive: Twenty Modern Knitting Patterns from the Iconic Danish Brand book, but does not seem to be available in the Ravelry dB. It is available in German and Norwegian on their website.

NOTES

1. I don’t like a crazy tight fit for my hats, so I increased an extra 16 stitches beyond the largest size.
2. Because I increased for more stitches than the pattern calls for, I did not have enough mohair for the 2nd crown after the ribbing. I had bought 2 balls of the merino and 2 balls of the mohair, so after I got through the ribbing, I stopped knitting with the mohair and switched to 2 strands of the merino.
3. I did another turn so that I would have both crowns with the stockinette side showing since my 2nd crowns is mohair free.
