02/17/2023 - I am doing an experiment with some cashmere yarn I bought on eBay.

01/01/2024 - overall, I love my finished sweater; it is soooo incredibly soft after blocking. I love the cashmere yarn. It softened up and bloomed beautifully with wet blocking. The hand dyed mohair I think I will pass on ever using again. The yarn itself is really nice, but I was not in love with the color placement; it pooled even though I helical knit. Managing 8 balls of yarn was not super fun either.

Notes

1. Used US 6 for neck ribbing, US 10 for body/sleeves and US 8 for body/sleeve ribbing.
2. I knit my swatch with 2 strands of cashmere & 1 strand of mohair. After I blocked it, I decided to hold 3 strands of the cashmere and 1 strand of the mohair for the sweater. I helical knit for the body and sleeves of the sweater.
3. Knowing my sweater preferences, I made my body a couple of inches longer (13.5” at the side seam) and the sleeves full length.
