04/19/2024 - Trying to use up 28 year old stash, so I will be striping the sweater and making it short sleeved. All of my color changing decisions were based 100% on the amount of yarn I was working with ;)
06/21/2024 - Unfortunately, even though I used cold water for the pre-block soak, the navy blue yarn bled. Since I do really like the FO, and the bleeding is actually pretty consistent, I’m just going to rock it like it’s an intentional vintage, garment wash ![:yum: yum](https://style-cdn.ravelrycache.com/images/twemoji/1f60b.png)
NOTES
- Based on my gauge swatch, I knit size 4 and used US 6 for the neck/armhole ribbing, US 7 for the body ribbing and US 10 for body/sleeves.
- Since I am using 100% cotton, I decided against the fold over collar. I picked up with the green yarn, knit 1 row, knit 9 rows of 1x1 ribbing, switched to the white yarn, knit 1 row, then bound off knitwise.
- I did the set up row for placing the raglan markers with the navy, then did all of the short rows with it. Once I started knitting in the round again, I transitions back to the tan.
- My navy and tan stripes are 8 rows. Once I started the body, I calculated how much yarn I was going to need to finish the body and figured out I would not have enough of the navy and tan to make it all the body with them, so after 2 stripes, I did a 3 stripes (8 row stripes as well) with 2 contrast colors (white and green).
- I knit the body to 12.5” at the side seam before starting the hem ribbing. For the hem, using the navy, I knit 1 row, knit 9 rows of 1x1 ribbing, knit 1 row and then bound off knitwise.
- After picking my sleeve stitches up, I knit 1 stripe (8 rows of navy), switched to the green color, knit 1 row, knit 9 rows of 1x1 ribbing, switched to the white, knit 1 row, then bound off knitwise.
