Notes

01/09/2022 - I made a dress as part of the Doll It Up January sew along and felt like a scarf could finish the outfit out nicely… I made another version of this in a variegated yarn, but was not sure I loved the color with the dress, so I made a 2nd one in solid red. Which ever ends up with the original dress, I’m sure to find a use for the 2nd. The completed outfit will get included in my The Cincinnati Salvation Army Toy Shop Auxiliary donations for 2022.

Modifications

  1. To get a bit more of an airy, lacey feeling, I went up to a US 4 needle.
  2. With my yarn/thread choice, I was struggling to get the yo after the slip stitch to look nice. To make the situation easier and cleaner, I just moved the yo in a stitch through the entire scarf. I did a kfb for the 2nd increase in sequence 2. For sequence one - Sl1, k1, yo, k to the end of the row. For sequence 2 - Sl1, k1, yo, kfb in next stitch , k to the end of the row.
  3. For the first sequence, I knit to 3.25” and the second sequence, I knit to 5.25”.
  4. Instead of fringe, I made 3 tassels and attached them to all the corners of the scarf.
  5. I did a quick steam block of my scarf once it was complete.
