Socks for my Grandmother on her 70th birthday. I embroidered “70”s above each heel flap using a chain stitch.

I used some Fortissima Socka to reinforce the heels. Since I couldn’t find purple thread at my LYS, I bought some dark grey and used a little bit of my sister’s purple Manic Panic to color the grey thread purple. It’s a completely different purple, but at least it’s closer than grey!
