Provisional cast on so I can lengthen the arm. I like this provisional cast on.

Cast on 32.
30 rounds (about 5” total from edge) of ribbing before starting thumb gusset.

1/3/13 One mitt done except for thumb and bindoff on cuff. Starting second mitt and then will do thumbs and bind off on both. If I have enough yarn left, I will lengthen the cuff a little.

Started Edge Section after 11 rounds of ribbing in Hand Section.

Lengthening arm section:
Picked up provisional cast on and knit ribbing on size 7 needles for 11 rows. Ended with garter edge like top of mitt.

BO with JSSBO (Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-Off.)

Used JSSBO on top and bottom of mitten. Regular bind off on thumb.
