so quick! at the bottom of the bootie, I used the kitchener stitch to seam them up (it’s not specified in the pattern) so it would be flat, as opposed to a 3 needle bind off which would produce a ridge that would be uncomfortable to walk on.

also, at 2 points in the pattern you pick up sts along the sides of the top of the foot. the first set is picked up along the right side of your fabric, which is great. the problem comes when you need to pick up sts for the 2nd set, which is on the wrong side. if you pick up the sts normally for the 2nd set, you get an ugly ridge where the 2 sides join. to fix this, on the 2nd set….instead of picking up sts the normal way (inserting your needle from front to back under the loops) you want to do it the opposite way -- insert your needle from back to front under the loops. this causes the excess edge/ridge to fold under to the wrong side of your boot and is hidden, so the right side is a nice smooth join.
