I’d never done the provisional cast on over a circular cable. Interesting CO, but the first few rows are pretty annoying to knit being tethered to the cable. I’m worried that my striped colors look too baby-ish together, but I think they’ll be okay once I add my CC2.

I thought it looked too sloppy to carry my MC and CC1 up the side when working the eyelet sections. So I cut the ends. But I forgot that I was going to be picking up with the CC2 along that side anyway. So now it looks super sloppy with about 40 ends woven into that side. Very disappointing. Just carry them up!

I first did the 3 needle bind off with the RS facing since that’s how I’m used to doing it. Then I had to undo it all, and redo the 3NBO with the WS facing to get the chain on the front side. Then that bind off was too loose, so I had to tighten it up.

On the final bind off round I had to make sure to bind off super loose on the picked up edge so that it still had some stretch to it.

I tried to finish this for the Down Cellar Studio Pigskin Party, but with redoing the 3NBO twice, and weaving in all those ends, I was 24 minutes late to count it. :(
