Seems pretty huge with just ribbing at this point… My head is at least 22” though, so couldn’t chance doing the smaller size.

10/21: made it about four inches in and it was giant. Probably 22” in circumference. My gauge was way off. I am going to go down a needle size and make the small. (Started on 5s and 7s, switching to 4s and 6s).

Restarted on 10/26. Hope it works this time!

10/29: Much better. It is still plenty wide enough for my head. Even though I made the smaller size. I think my gauge was still a little looser than the pattern. The hat is a little shallow. I wanted it to be a little slouchy. I also thought the ribbing would pull in more.
