I modified Mary Annarella’s Tale of Two Shawls crescent cast-on for this pattern. I added a yo in-between the two stitches picked up off the garter tab. Then continued working in garter stitch with yo’s next to the 3 garter edge stitches. I also increased two stitches in the middle of the row, on about the fourth row. Then before the end of section one, I added one extra stitch in the middle of the row to get back to even numbers. This made the cast-on less peaked than in the pattern.
