I am going to knit this hat for my trip to Rhinebeck this fall. I will modify the pattern by brightening the colors, reducing the darkness of the clouds and adding more leaves. Afterall its October in Rhinebeck.

Summary
-
I am doing 8 rounds of corrugated rib instead of 6.
-
I have shortened the height of the hat.
-
I have modified the top of the hat design, patterned after what I did in “Fall’s End’ and in “Snow Squall”. This time I’ve changed the color to sky blue, since the clouds are still puffy and the sky blue in October.
-
I have added substantially more leaves to the trees.
-
I am stranding the hat.
-
I have tried to minimize the number of 4 color rounds. These typically happen in the background transition areas. Rounds 4, 5, 21 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42 have 4 colors.
