I’ve decided I want a couple more hats for Rhinebeck. This one is going to be a simple slouch in a wonderful color of Malabrigo Worsted.
Journal
2016-09-16: Cast on 72 using GTCO. Knit 12 rounds of 1x1 rib.
2016-09-17: Complete hat body. Complete crown. Complete first hat.
2016-09-18: Start second hat.
2016-09-19: Complete ribbing and begin body of second hat.
2016-09-20: I completed about 3” of the second hat body, when I realized that my first hat was a bit short, so I measured it again and discovered that it was only 7 1/2” to the start of the decreases, so I ripped out the hat crown and continued knitting hat 1’s body until it reached 8 1/2”.
2016-09-21: Complete knitting second hat.
Summary
-
Hat 1 used 73.6 grams.
-
Hat 2 used 71.9 grams.
-
Pictures 3,4&5 from the bottom show the hat with a 7 1/2” body. Since I was aiming for a 8 1/2” body, I ripped this out to add the extra inch for more slouch. I kind of like it at 7 1/2”; it fits me well, but didn’t work so well for my SO.
