I took a class this past weekend at the canoe museum. It was a snowshoe weaving class, given by Kei and Dave from Lure of the North.
I decided on the bear paw frame, and used nylon webbing. The alternative of 400lb test line looked a tad too daunting to me.
There is a LOT of weaving in these suckers….I would consider this to be a challenging/tangy project, but certainly not impossible.
nov 1 - i went back the following week to take their winter moccasin class - much easier, and more enjoyable. i bought more leather to make summer moccasins.
