I decided to make up another cowl. This one uses the chain stitch pattern from MonTricot’s “The Knitting Dictionary.” That book is seriously old.

Anyway, I made it simple. CO 100 sts on size 4 needle.
k2p2 rib for 8 rounds.
round 1: k2 p1 yo p1 repeat to end
round 2 and 3: k2p3 repeat to end
round 4: k1 k2tog p2 repeat to end
round 5: k1 yo k1 p2 repeat to end
round 6 and 7: k3 p2 repeat to end
round 8: k1 k2tog p2 repeat to end

I repeated this 8 round pattern 8 times (or until suitable length).

I switched to k2p2 for 8 rounds and bound off.

Easy!

Oh yeah, it’s reversible too! Each side is slightly different, but they both look good. The top picture is of the outside, and the bottom picture is of the inside!
