1/20/11: Cast on last night! The colors are so gorgeous. I am so very excited about this blanket!

2/13/2011: This yarn is so lovely. It’s too bad that Dale of Norway is discontinuing it. I have not run in to ONE knot yet, and I’ve already used 6 balls of yarn. That’s a good sign. I’m enjoying the pattern a lot. I have not experienced any of the puckering people complain about. This may possibly be because I have a loose gauge with cotton yarn.

3/15/2011: I am getting sick of this blanket. I don’t think it’s the pattern or anything. I’ve just been working on it for entirely too long. School keeps me too busy to work on project consistently. Also, I hate knitting with cotton, no matter how nice it is. Still not one knot in the yarn, and I’ve knit 10 balls worth. I’m 11 sections in. Not too much left.

3/23/2011 DONE! It’s gorgeous and turned out better than I ever expected!

Sorry about the shoddy cellphone picture. I didn’t have my camera with me when I finished it and handed it off to the new owner. The picture is of the unblocked blanket. It looks nicer blocked. Knitting with mercerized cotton is a pain, but I didn’t have any of the rumpling problems that many others did.
