i made this whole bag in single crochet and used a 3.5 mm hook

and u just need to make a plain blank square in sc for the back in blue and matress stitch all the pieces together

so for the strap i chained 6 and sc six and turned and repeated this till i had a desired length for a tote style u can do any length
