The town recently passed an ordinance banning plastic bags in stores. Most store have responded by charging a fee for paper bags, so it was time to whip up some reusable bags. This was a very easy pattern. It took one full ball of the Sugar’n Cream for the body, so I added the top in the contrasting green. It kind of made the project come out looking like a strawberry. It wasn’t intended, but I kind of love it. The bag is a little small just off the hook, but after a wash and a few uses it has really stretched out. I’m glad I didn’t make it bigger, otherwise it would have stretched to be unwieldily.
