This is a top down hat--It starts with an eyelet (aka Noose) cast on- and continues down and out to an almost flat square. There is a lace bit of border at the change from crown to sides, and cross wise knit brim that stands out, something like a pork pie hat.

The pattern for this hat will be available in January 2013.
