I pieced together different patterns/shapes to custom make this for my nephew. It measures about 14” long with the hat and about 12.5” long without the hat.

For the body I used Berry Patch Bunny pattern (linked above). I followed that pattern except made the arms a little longer and a little wider than the pattern called for.

For the head I followed a free oval shape pattern found on Pinterest and custom tweaked it.

If I remember correctly, I chained 12 then followed these directions:
R1 sc10, 2 sc in the last ch st, continue working around chain, sc10 (22)
R2 inc, sc9, inc x2, sc9, inc
R3 sc, inc, sc9, inc, sc2, inc, sc9, inc, sc
R4 sc2, inc, sc10, inc, sc4, inc, sc10, inc, sc2
continue the same way increasing “sc2” and “sc10” stitches by 1 and “sc4” stitches by 2 sts.
Basically, I increased at the 4 corners for 11 rounds then I think I did 5 rows sc without any increases, then started decreasing at the 4 corners until I had 24 stitches left. (so I could attach it easily the the 24 stitches on the body).

For the tan oval face, I chained 9 and followed the same pattern as above, but I think after about row 4 I started doing an increase in the middle of the top and bottom of the oval as well to make it more rounded and less oval. I crocheted about 10 rounds for the oval.

6 SC in 2nd chain from hook
INC in each stitch
(SC, INC) 6 times (18)
(SC, INC, SC) 6 times (24)
(3 SC, INC) 6 times (30)
5 rows SC, change to red in last stitch for the brim
7 SC, SL
Turn, SL, 5 SC, SL
Turn, SL, 3 SC, SL
Fasten off, embroider an “O” on the front of the hat in red.

Used 15mm safety eyes.
