I decided instead of using an I-cord cast on to do the Chinese Waitress cast on. Will use a double chain bind off.

I was confused by the explanation of the 1/1/1 left purl cross; so this is what I did: Slip 1 stitch onto cn#1 and hold in front, slip next stitch onto cn#2 and hold in back; K1, P1 from cn #2, K1 from cn#1.

7/27 Finished knitting the scarf on the blocking board.

7/31 I only picked up 320 stitches when I knit the lining. I did not use mohair as I did not have anything that worked in my stash. I knit 30 row instead of 22. Instead of binding off my lining I picked up the same number of stitche on the opposite side and did a Kitchener bind off. I would not have attempted this with mohair. The Kitchener bind off took me over 10 hours, but it has a nice finish to the edge. It’s on the blocking board for its second time.
