I knit this with 3.5mm needles for the body. Because several Ravelers had posted that the ribbing was loose I went down to 3.25 for the ribbing and did a twisted rib. Even at that it is still looser than I would like it.

I also added 4 extra stocking knit rows after the pattern before doing the ribbing to give the star a little breathing room and a little more slouch.

This is an easy, fast pattern.

I loved working with this yarn. It is really soft and gives great stitch definition. This will make a very warm hat.
