I decided to knit a swatch as I’m a tight knitter and cables can confuse a gauge. I cast on 32 stitches and knit two repeats of the middle cable chart. I looks like I’m going to be be pretty close to gauge.

Cast on using modified 2:2 cable cast on. Started with slip knot, then first stitch as purl cable cast on. Continue with 1:1 cable cast on until there are 165 stitches on the needle, then purl cable cast on three stitches. Purl through last stitch before starting the set up on next row. I got gauge on 4.5mm needles. Even my row gauge was on gauge, which I never get.

After blocking the short edge measured 25”, the long edge measured 63” and the the angle from the bottom to the short edge was 39”.

This took me longer to knit, because life issues got in the way. The most difficult part was sewing the two edges together and getting the buttons evenly spaced.
