Body finished.

Changed the habits of a lifetime and washed the component parts because the sleeves are seamed and it seemed like the sensible and grown up thing to do it properly. I hate to admit it, but this was a good move - it meant that I was working on the finished fabric, which is looser and softer than the unwashed yarn, even though I washed the yarn after spinning and before knitting up. Weird.

Sewed in sleeves. Well one of them, anyway. Fortunately I tried the sweater on before putting them both in. Complete disaster. Long enough for a gibbon and horribly baggy at the shoulder. Major puckering. Going to have to rip out and re-knit from the top down. Sigh.

So. New attempt at sleeves. Pick up 56 around armscye.
Rib to 7 sts past shoulder seam. W&T 7 past seam, W&T, 1 past last one and so on to the horizontal under arm sts, at which point work in the round.

Reduce once after 4th round and every 10th round thereafter. Total length before cuff = 14” (but try on!!)
