I started this a number of times with different tutorials, but I kept messing up the edges. I think this was the video that finally worked for me. Doing the beginning and the ending knitting flat is where I messed up; I probably could knit two-color brioche in the round a lot easier!

MC: CO 33 of stitches, turn work.
CC: setup row. k1, [yif, sl1p, k1wyif], slide work.

MC: 1. sl1p, [brp, sl1p, wrap] brp, sl1p, turn work.
CC: 2. p1, [sl1p, wrap, brp], sl1p, wrap, p1, slide work.
MC: 3. sl1p, brk wyib, [yif, sl1p, brk], sl1p, turn work.
CC: 4. k1, [yif, sl1p, brk], yif, sl1p, k1wyif, slide work.

Repeat rows 1-4 until length wanted, ending on a row 2.
MC: [p, brk] across
MC: Bind off knitwise across (or whatever BO goes with the CO)
