Last photo shows I had some tension issues with the color changes. confused

  • CO 97 sts with Twisted German cast-on
  • Join in the round: slip stitch (96 sts)
  • Knit Twisted Rib (k1tbl, p1) for about 2 ins.
  • Knit around
  • Change color, knit around
  • At the marker, switch back to the first color without wrapping the two yarns
  • Continue alternating colors for about 12 inches.
  • Reduce as with the Chemo Slouchy Hat.
    • K1, K3tog, K17, sl1 k2tog psso 4 times. (80 sts)
    • Knit around.
    • K1, K3tog, K13, sl1 k2tog psso 4 times. (64 sts)
    • Knit around.
    • K1, K3tog, K9, sl1 k2tog psso 4 times. (48 sts)
    • Knit around.
    • K1, K3tog, K5, sl1 k2tog psso 4 times. (32 sts)
    • Knit around.
    • K1, K3tog, K1, sl1 k2tog psso 4 times. (16 sts)
    • Knit around.
    • Break yarn and thread tail through remaining 16 sts.
  • Weave in ends.

Tried again with three colors. I reduced earlier this time because I thought the first one was too floppy.
