CO 10 stitches (multiple of 3+1). Followed mod by another Raveler -

Row 1) K
Row 2) slip 1 K-wise, K2, P1 to end
Row 3) slip 1 Kwise, K to last stitch, P1
Repeat rows 2 & 3

Surprisingly, this took about 3 hours to make. I did have to rip back a few times because I forgot to slip the first stitch.

I used the small pink pom pom maker & cinched the ends together.
