I purled the first two rounds. This yarn is listed as worsted weight, but I got 28 rows (rounds) to 4” using size 7 needle.

I am a bit peeved at myself for not doing my own research on how to do the German short row, WS. The DS instructions neglected to say to slip the stitch from the left to the right needle before tugging the yarn over the needle. Which meant I did 6 short rows wrong & had to start over with the short rows. My fault for not looking up a video when the first one seemed wrong to me.

I didn’t have enough yarn to do all the short rows, but it looks fine to me. After picking up the double stitches, I did one purl row, then bound off. The bottom curled something fierce, so I did a beaded crochet edge. I can’t make out the markings on the crochet hook, but it looks like 00. I held the yarn & thread together, did about 5 SC stitches, then used a very small crochet hook to grab the thread & place a size 8 bead. After that round, I did a crochet picot edge, chaining 4 stitches on each loop & doing 2 stitches between loops. Now it looks nice, but I’ll still have to try to block it to stop the curling. It is small on me.
