Holding two yarns together & doing SS with 4 stitch garter border instead of basketweave because the cone yarn is so busy I don’t think any pattern is going to show up.

As others have mentioned, the short row section is too long, even with doing double decreases about 10 stitches from the end. I bound off & still thought it looked crappy. So I decided to rip back to the straight rows & turn it into a Capuchine instead.

When I got to K4, K2tog, I did the decreases every round.

Way to save a crap project!
