CO 30 stitches. Instead of SS on the cuff, I did 1 x 1 rib. I knit 4 rounds after the cuff & before starting the thumb gusset. For the thumb, I increased just one stitch EOR until I had 10 stitches to set aside. Increase one stitch next round & complete 16 rounds total before starting the decreases. I did just two sets of decreases, down to 22 stitches, then did a modified 3 needle BO, where I left half of the stitches live. When knitting the beak, I slipped the first stitch of each row purl wise, WYIF.

I picked up two more stitches for the thumb, then did 7 rounds even. Next round, I K1, K2tog, an even round, then K2tog.

This is the cutest one yet!!
