8/26 - Back is finally done! Best bar and gaming knitting ever. It saw me through many games of Serenity, the KU Men’s Basketball (NCAA) playoffs, many baseball games, and at least one Merlin’s Rest Drunken Knitting Night.

9/9 - Both fronts are done, have started on the sleeves and noted an incongruity with the pattern. I’m knitting the medium. For the sleeves, the last row of the lace pattern doesn’t quite work out as written (it shifts one stitch over if you knit exactly as written). I’m compensating by doing a k2tog over sts 5 & 6 before the yarn over, and doing a skp at the end of the row instead of a sk2p. It keeps the lace centered and the stitch count even.

10/1 - Knitting finished! Blocking and seaming left. The end is in sight!

11/11 - Drying on the blocking mats. Seams and ends soon!

11/12 - Discovered that a dog had pissed on the front while drying on the blocking mats. Threw out blocking mats, doused sweater in Nature’s Miracle and crossed fingers. Seems to have come out okay… Now it just smells like Nature’s Miracle instead of dog piss. Seaming will have to wait until I’m less angry.

4/18/13 - Proceeding with the seaming, finally. Where the pattern says “the total collar length may be slightly longer than the total body length. When seaming, ease in the collar to fit, if necessary,” they are not kidding. I had to ease a LOT.

4/19/13 - All done! Will take pictures soon. It fits well.
