Ribbed Leaves:
icord 4 or 5. 5 better. 4 rows or so
hold two needles parallel 3sts front, 2 sts back. work onto one needle:
k1 from the front needle, yo, k1 from back, yo, etc. 9 sts.
Work in ribbing.
slip first stitch of each row.
yo increases on each side of center vein, three or four times.
work straight a couple of rows, maybe.
double central decrease down to the tip.

pole:
garter rows.
12 st cable in ribbing.
run light color yarn behind cable.
