Notes

After a trial run produced a tiny kippah following instructions as directed, I tried casting on 18 (or 17?) stitches and using size 7 needles. Much better. I thought even the one in the book looked a little too… small. (But very cute!) This was fun and easy pattern to knit.

Instead of wrappingI did yarn-over short rows which was much easier to manage.

Used leftover yarn I got as a gift from the yarn train trip, thanks Charisa.

I knit at school board meetings, and a fellow board member remarked that he’d like a kippah made by me (I made kippot for the whole Kindergarten class). He kind of reminds me of my Grandpa, and he’s just a very sweet man so, at the last meeting of the year, I finished it, sewed in the ends and handed it to him. I received a delighted smile and a hug, and he agreed to pose for a photo.

Perfect!
