Size G hook (because it was the first one I grabbed)

Final size will vary with the size of hook you choose.

Mine is 12.5 inches tall.

With white yarn

2: Increase around = 12
3: 1 sc, 1 inc around =18
4: 2 sc, 1 inc around = 24

Joining the legs - with tail hanging down in between them:

18: sc 4 stitches, sc the 9 stitches from leg #1, sc the remaining 5 stitches on leg #2 = 18 stitches around

19-22: 18 sc

Use the loose tail to close up the hole between the legs.

Join tan/body color to continue

23: 18 sc - in back loop only
24: 4 sc, 1 dec around = 15

25-32: 15 sc

Attach securely around waist over the white/tan seam.

Hair

Cut many lengths of black yarn twice as long as you want the hair to be. Beginning with row 47, hook yarn all over top of head. Unravel it as desired to get fullness. Trim and fashion.

Hat

With red yarn.

2: increase around = 16
3-5: 16 sc
finish off, lightly stuff and attach to head.

Patch

gold/yellow yarn

Chain 4
sc in 2nd chain from hook and next 2.
Turn, sc 3.
finish off.

Sew to pant leg.

Vest

Finish off.
