I could have had this finished today only I didn’t have the ribbon to cover the steeked edges and when I tried to take the baby out, he wasn’t having it. So now it will have to be a belated gift. :(

Luckily, we didn’t see my sister-in-law until today so I was able to sew that ribbon on this afternoon. I love how it turned out. For my first steeked project it was super easy. I did not love sewing the ribbon in and, had this been for one of my kids, probably would have left it. But for a gift I wanted a bit more of a polished look.

I blocked once before steeking and would have liked to do once more but ran out of time. The colors did not bleed at all.
