A knit version of the sweet little silk/cotton/woolly one that once upon a time I’ve hand sewn for my baby.

Face:
In non-dyed cotton. Disappearing loop cast on with 20 st., did 20 kfb’s in the first round.

Rnd 21 of face: k2tog every 2 st. One round plain, then color change, one rnd plain in new color. Second round in color: placing increase markers and k1, m1L around.

Tiny bit of yellow waste yarn changed into golden curls.

Legs:
After separation: first a plain rnd bef. decr.
So with second leg, first TWO plain rnds. bef decr
When decr. until 8 st., knit another 10 rnds, then one last decr. rnd, pull yarn through instead of binding off.

Arms:
Knit 2 rnds before decr.
After last decr., 7 more rounds. Then one last decr. round. Pull yarn through stitches.

Hat:
Stuffed ever so lightly with a few little yarn ends.

Aw it’s cute. Yet I will not be knitting a lot more of these. (But if I would, i’d make the body a tad narrower. And put the belt much higher.) I prefer hand sewing these dollies.
That said, this is a clear and easy pattern, rendering a sweet little doll so if you rather knit than sew, i’d say go for it.
