Yeah… This year I didn’t miss the sign-up date

This yarn is so out of gauge when knitting, but blocks like heaven My FO blocked horizontaly to measurements, but lengthwise gave 3 cm more for the sleeve openings, 4 cm for the body (which I was knitting longer to match my hight and body shape) and 5 more cm for the sleeves.

My mods:

• Longtail CO worked fine. No flareing sts…
• Edging over the first and last 4 sts as follows:

RS: sl1p, k1, sl1p with yarn in front, k1, work in pattern to last 4 sts, k1, sl1p with yarn in front, k1, sl1p with yarn in front.

WS: k1, sl1p with yarn in front, k1, sl1p with yarn in front, work in pattern to last 4 sts, sl1p with yarn in front, k1, sl1p with yarn in front, k1.
This will look a bit like an ICord. Hm… Many Ravelers has been doing this on their projecst, but why don’t any of them mention that you have to pull the yarn tight to “hide” the purl sts..?

• Sleeves W&T: Didn’t pick up the wraps.
• Sleeves dec: Didn’t do any decreases before I reached the ribbing. Adjusted the st count to 48 sts this way: K2, K2tog for one round.
• BO for sleeves: Long Tail Tubular BO with two needles and Kitchener sts with knitting needles.
• Body inc/dec along two vertical lines on the back piece, placed 27 sts from sidemarkers on each side. Made a lot of extra increases to make the coat fit over my hip area.
• No pockets.
• Knitted the body to 62 cm before ribbing. Ribbing: 8cm. (I’m 170 cm tall.) BO in pattern with needle size 5.5 mm. Body measured 74 cm after wet blocking.
