Starting this with the idea to use up some stash. Note to self: never buy yarn that you don’t have a project for.
(Unless, of course, it’s irresistible tactilely). I purchased yarn long ago and I’m not really interested in green anymore.
So, I’m going to go a little crazy with this project. Neck will be done with the berroco.

The pattern, initially, made me work. I enjoyed the challenge.
I did shadow wraps for the short rows. I wanted to do German short rows, but at the time, there was so much going on with the pattern that I didn’t want to create any extra steps (GSR’s need added stitches). The shadow wraps worked great.
I cast on for the medium, I wanted extra stitches in the neck, for a potentially wider, funnel. I’m worried that the shoulders might be a little too droopy, I’ve never worked a contiguous pattern before.

Rib at bottom, twisted knit and purl. Bind off at bottom rib, #9 to get a loose bind off. Three quarter sleeves, no pockets. Running out of yarn. Purchased an extra skein.

One sleeve to go. Inspite of some mistakes, and not loving the color, i love the color, and the mistakes aren’t bothering me.
Whew, finished. I think this will be one of those sweaters I use casually a lot. It’s warm, comfortable and the yarn isn’t scratchy.
First photo is after blocking. Neck relaxed, project grew in length and in armpits. Better or worse? not sure.

08/19. I really love this sweater. The yarn is great. Pattern is interesting, and it’s one of those pullovers I throw on without thinking.
