Notes

1-18-2014
Hand dyed 9 skeins of yarn and they came out pretty well near the same in a tonal aubergine. I am very happy with the dyed results. The first picture looks just like my yarn. (others pics are done in ambient light.)
I am trying one of the menu based custom-fit designs, using Amy Herzog’s new generated pattern design just for my measurements.

I plan to follow the pattern exactly to see how everything works, seeing as how all the fine tuning has already been done.

CO according to pattern and have worked to mid armhole area. So far I am giving a rave review. I have followed the pattern exactly and all the measurements and stitch counts match between the garment, written pattern and the measurements I entered for my custom-fit pattern.
I am hoping to finish the back tonight.
The hand dyed yarn is looking fabulous.

With this being a bulky yarn it is moving fast. I have finished the body pieces, with one huge oopsie on the way. I forgot to change needles after the hem so the whole right front had to be redone. aarrgh! I have held everything up to my body and everything contours perfectly to my shape. However the length is very short, more like a dropped waist than mid hip. For next garment I will definitely tweek this measurement.
1-21-2014
Decided that bulky yarn makes bind offs ugly so I undid all 4 shoulder and did short rows then bound off evenly across the edge then did a grafting closing seam. looks nice!
I did the body in pieces but will sew them all together and do the sleeves in the round as per instructions at the end of pattern.
1-22-3014
Sewed the side seams this morning and tried what I have on. Kudos to CF team this fits my body contours exactly. The armhole opening is precise and the neck edge is falling in the right place for where the trim should be.
2-2-2014
Sleeves done and I will set them in tomorrow. I will have to check my measurements/stitches as the arms were about 2” too short. So I just added the extra length after the last increase row.
2-7-2014
The sleeves are in and they fit perfect, both in the circumference and length. They come nicely (very nicely) to a perfect armhole height for me.
2-8-2014
I picked up the stitches around the neck early this morning and finished that portion. Now all that’s left is the front bands and sewing of hem and the pesky ends.
2-13-2014
Did one button band but it is too tight for my liking and it it pulling. I re-figured the pick up rate according to my rib own stitch gauge and did the 2nd band in this gauge to compare the two side by side and I like it much better. So I will rip the other one out and redo that one to match. Almost done.
Just bought the buttons to put on and I am done. Will post picture. I am well pleased with this pattern. Kudos CF.
